Indications

Ketoconazole cream is indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by fungi and yeasts. It is used in the treatment of fungal dermatoses, such as:

  • Seborrheic dermatitis
  • Tinea corporis (ringworm of the body)
  • Tinea pedis (athlete's foot)
  • Tinea cruris (jock itch)
  • Cutaneous candidiasis
The action of ketoconazole is based on its ability to interfere with the synthesis of steroids in fungi, resulting in the death of the microorganisms responsible for the infection.

Composition

Each 100g of cream contains 2g of ketoconazole as active ingredient. Excipients: cetyl alcohol, propylene glycol, purified water, among others.

Contraindications

Ketoconazole cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ketoconazole or to any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended on extensive areas of the skin or on mucous membranes.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with liver diseases or in those receiving medications that may affect liver function. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not use in children under 12 years of age without medical indication.

Storage

Store in its original container at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
