Indications
Keplozol is indicated for the treatment of fungal infections affecting the skin, nails, and mucous membranes. This medication is effective in managing infections caused by fungi such as Candida, Dermatophytes, and Histoplasma. It is commonly used in the treatment of oral, esophageal, and cutaneous candidiasis, as well as infections by Dermatophytes causing ringworm, onychomycosis, and other mycotic infections. It has also been shown to be useful in the treatment of some systemic fungal infections, although its use in these conditions must be carefully evaluated by a doctor. It is essential to follow the healthcare professional's instructions to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment and minimize the risk of antifungal resistance.
Composition
Each Keplozol tablet contains 200 mg of Ketoconazole as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Keplozol should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ketoconazole or any of the product's excipients. It is contraindicated in patients with severe liver diseases, as well as in those receiving concomitant treatment with medications that may cause cardiac arrhythmias.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Keplozol to patients with a history of liver disease, as it may affect liver function. In addition, monitoring is recommended for patients who experience adverse effects during treatment. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before starting treatment.
