Indications

Ht-Block is indicated for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy and radiotherapy in cancer patients. It is also used for the prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting. Its mechanism of action is based on antagonizing 5-HT3 serotonin receptors, which decreases the activity of the central nervous system responsible for these manifestations. It is important that the use of this medication is under the supervision of a healthcare professional, who will determine the dose and duration of treatment according to the patient's needs.

Composition

Each ampoule of Ht-Block contains: Ondansetron 8 mg in a volume of 4 ml. Excipients: water for injection and other excipients.

Contraindications

Ht-Block is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ondansetron or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients who have a prolonged QT interval or in those who are receiving medications that may induce this condition.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with severe hepatic impairment and in those with long QT syndrome. Monitoring is also recommended for patients who are using antidepressants or who have a history of heart problems. Use in pregnant women is not recommended unless strictly necessary and always under medical supervision.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and keep in its original packaging. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
