Indications

Ht-Block is indicated for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery. This medication acts as a 5-HT3 serotonin receptor antagonist, which helps reduce the sensation of nausea and the urge to vomit. It is commonly used in patients receiving oncological treatments and in those who have undergone surgical procedures that could cause postoperative nausea. Its use should be considered in patients with a history of adverse reactions to other antiemetics and in those who require effective control of vomiting-related symptoms.

Composition

Each ampoule contains Ondansetron 4 Mg in a solution for intravenous administration.

Contraindications

Ht-Block is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ondansetron or any component of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with QT prolongation syndrome or who are receiving other medications that may induce this condition.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias or electrolyte disturbances. It is important to monitor patients with hepatic insufficiency, as they may require dose adjustments. Additionally, concomitant administration with other drugs that may increase the risk of QT prolongation should be avoided.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.
