Indications

Hypromellose Ophthalmic Solution 0.5% is an ocular lubricant used for the relief of dry eyes, which can be caused by environmental factors such as wind, smoke, pollution, or prolonged use of contact lenses. Hypromellose works by forming a protective film over the eye's surface, which helps maintain moisture and reduce irritation. It is indicated in the treatment of keratoconjunctivitis sicca and for eye protection after surgical procedures or injuries.

Composition

Each ml of solution contains: Hypromellose 5 mg. Excipients: sodium chloride, benzalkonium chloride, purified water.

Contraindications

It should not be used in case of known hypersensitivity to hypromellose or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with untreated ocular infections.

Precautions

Caution is advised in patients using contact lenses, as the solution may contain preservatives that can damage the lenses. It is recommended to wait at least 15 minutes after application before inserting contact lenses. Do not touch the dropper tip with any surface to avoid contamination. If persistent symptoms or worsening of the ocular condition occur, a doctor should be consulted.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
