Indications
Hyoscine 10 mg is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal and biliary spasms. It is used to relieve symptoms associated with gastrointestinal tract disorders, such as abdominal cramps and dyspepsia. It is also used in the management of symptoms of hyperactivity in the parasympathetic nervous system. This medication can be useful in cases of irritable bowel syndrome and in diagnostic procedures where reduction of intestinal motility is required.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Hyoscine (as hyoscine bromide) 10 mg.
Contraindications
Hyoscine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to hyoscine or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, intestinal obstruction, or in those with urinary retention conditions. Its use during pregnancy and lactation should be evaluated by a doctor.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with heart disease, hypertension, or respiratory problems. It is important to monitor patients who are being treated with other anticholinergics or who have chronic diseases. It is recommended to avoid the use of hyoscine in elderly individuals, as they may be more susceptible to side effects.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not store at temperatures above 30°C.
