Indications

Hydroxin is indicated for the treatment of various conditions, including anxiety disorders, where it acts as an anxiolytic, providing relief in situations of tension and stress. It is also used in the management of allergic reactions and dermatitis, given its antihistamine effect, helping to reduce symptoms of itching, sneezing, and nasal discharge. Likewise, it is prescribed in some cases for the induction of sedation in surgical and diagnostic procedures, as well as for the short-term treatment of insomnia, thanks to its sedative properties.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Hydroxyzine 10 mg. Excipients: corn starch, talc, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Hydroxin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to hydroxyzine or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of QT interval prolongation or in those with severe cardiac disorders. Likewise, its administration should be avoided in pregnant or breastfeeding women without adequate medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution is advised in patients with a history of heart disease, respiratory problems, or in those who are being treated with other drugs that may enhance its sedative effects. During the use of Hydroxin, alcohol and other central nervous system depressants should be avoided. It is important to monitor geriatric patients, as they may be more sensitive to the effects of the medication.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
