Indications

Glunovag is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It is used as a complementary therapy in patients who cannot control blood glucose levels with diet and exercise alone. It may also be indicated in combination with other oral antidiabetics or with insulin to improve blood glucose control. Metformin helps reduce glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity, contributing to better diabetes management.

Composition

Each Glunovag tablet contains: Metformin 850 mg, excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Glunovag is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to metformin or any of the excipients. It should not be used in cases of severe renal insufficiency, metabolic acidosis, diabetic ketoacidosis, or in patients undergoing treatment with iodinated contrast media that may affect renal function.

Precautions

It is important to monitor renal function before and during treatment with Glunovag. Patients should be warned about the risk of lactic acidosis, especially those with conditions that may predispose to metformin accumulation. Caution should also be exercised in patients over 65 years of age and in those who engage in strenuous exercise or who are dehydrated.

Storage

Store Glunovag at room temperature, not exceeding 30 °C, in a dry place and out of reach of children. Avoid exposure to direct light and humidity.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
