Indications

Fucerox (Cefuroxime) is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to cefuroxime. These infections may include:

  • Upper and lower respiratory tract infections, such as sinusitis and pneumonia.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Urinary tract infections.
  • Bone and joint infections.

Cefuroxime acts by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, which results in the death of susceptible bacteria.

Composition

Each Fucerox ampoule contains 750 mg of cefuroxime in the form of cefuroxime axetil, as well as excipients suitable for its formulation.

Contraindications

Fucerox should not be administered to patients with a history of hypersensitivity to cefuroxime, penicillins, or other beta-lactam antibiotics. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal insufficiency without proper medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of allergies, asthma, or gastrointestinal disorders. It is important to monitor renal function during treatment. In the event of allergic reactions, treatment should be discontinued immediately.

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
