Indications

Fluxacord is indicated in the treatment of various bacterial infections. These include, but are not limited to, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and some gastrointestinal infections. It is effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, being used in cases where other antibiotics may be ineffective. Fluxacord can be prescribed for complicated and uncomplicated infections, as well as for prophylaxis in high-risk situations of infection.

Composition

Each tablet contains 500 mg of ciprofloxacin as the active ingredient. In addition, it contains excipients that allow the formulation of the medicine, ensuring its stability and efficacy.

Contraindications

Fluxacord is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in children and growing adolescents, as well as in patients with a history of tendinitis or tendon rupture associated with the use of fluoroquinolones. Likewise, caution should be exercised in patients with a history of neurological disorders, such as epilepsy.

Precautions

It is recommended to evaluate renal function in patients requiring treatment with Fluxacord, as dose adjustment may be necessary. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of heart problems, as ciprofloxacin may cause QT interval prolongation. It is important to avoid excessive sun exposure and concomitant use with medications that may induce arrhythmias.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
