Indications
Flumedil is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. This medication is used in patients who cannot control their blood glucose levels with diet and exercise alone. Flumedil works by stimulating insulin secretion from the pancreas, which helps reduce blood glucose levels. It is important that the use of this medication be complemented with an adequate diet and a physical exercise program, and be supervised by a healthcare professional.
Composition
Each Flumedil tablet contains 5 mg of Glipizide as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the tablet formulation.
Contraindications
Flumedil is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Glipizide or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in cases of type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, and in patients with severe renal or hepatic insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as in those taking other medications that may interact with Glipizide. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is essential to prevent episodes of hypoglycemia. Likewise, it is advisable to inform the doctor about any other ongoing treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
