Indications

Flosep is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections susceptible to ofloxacin. These include, but are not limited to, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as gastrointestinal infections. Flosep can be used for conditions such as bronchitis, pneumonia, cystitis, pyelonephritis, and certain forms of bacterial gastroenteritis. The effectiveness of the treatment will depend on the type of bacteria causing the infection and its susceptibility to the antibiotic.

Composition

Each Flosep tablet contains 400 mg of ofloxacin as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that contribute to the drug's formulation.

Contraindications

Flosep is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ofloxacin or other fluoroquinolone antibiotics. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of tendinitis or tendon rupture associated with fluoroquinolone use.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Flosep to patients with a history of central nervous system disorders, such as epilepsy or seizures. Renal function should also be assessed before initiating treatment, as dose adjustments may be required. Use in pregnant or breastfeeding women should be avoided unless the benefits outweigh the potential risks.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
