Indications

Fleridux (fluconazole) is indicated in the treatment of mycotic infections caused by susceptible fungi. It is used in the treatment of vaginal candidiasis, oropharyngeal and esophageal candidiasis, as well as in the prevention of fungal infections in immunocompromised patients, such as those with HIV/AIDS or undergoing chemotherapy. It is also used in the management of cryptococcosis, especially in patients with cryptococcal meningitis.

Composition

Each Fleridux capsule contains 100 mg of fluconazole as an active ingredient, in addition to the necessary excipients for its formulation.

Contraindications

Fleridux is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fluconazole or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use should also be avoided in patients who are administering terfenadine or astemizole, due to the possibility of drug interactions that can result in cardiac arrhythmias.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney disease, as the metabolism and elimination of fluconazole may be affected. It is important to adequately monitor liver and kidney function during treatment. Furthermore, the use of Fleridux in pregnant or lactating women should only be considered if strictly necessary and under adequate medical supervision.

Storage

Store the medication at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, in a dry place and away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
