Indications
Felodipine is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension. This medication acts as a calcium channel blocker, which helps to relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure. It is indicated for use in adults and can be administered alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents. It is important to follow the doctor's recommendations for dose adjustment according to the individual needs of the patient.
Composition
Each Felodipine tablet contains 5 mg of felodipine as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as lactose monohydrate, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, among others.
Contraindications
Felodipine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to felodipine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with congestive heart failure, severe liver disease, and in those with severe hypotension.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency, as well as in those who are being treated with other antihypertensive agents. It is important to monitor blood pressure regularly and adjust the dose as needed. During treatment, excessive alcohol consumption should be avoided, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
