Indications
Fazolin Solution is indicated for the treatment of nasal congestion associated with various conditions, such as colds, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, and other conditions that cause inflammation of the nasal mucosa. Its mechanism of action is based on the vasoconstriction of blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, resulting in a decrease in swelling and congestion, facilitating nasal breathing. It can also be used for the relief of congestion in nasal surgical procedures.
Composition
Each ml of Fazolin contains 1 mg of Naphazoline. Excipients: sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, and purified water.
Contraindications
Fazolin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Naphazoline or any of the excipients. It should not be used in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma, severe cardiovascular diseases, uncontrolled hypertension, or in those who have received monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) in the last two weeks.
Precautions
It should be used with caution in patients with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, and in those with a history of atrophic rhinitis. Prolonged use is not recommended to avoid rebound congestion. Avoid contact with eyes and do not use in children under 6 years of age without medical supervision.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the bottle tightly closed and protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
