Indications
Fasiclor Suspension is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections susceptible to cefaclor. It is used in the treatment of respiratory tract infections, including otitis media, sinusitis, and pneumonia. In addition, it is effective in skin and soft tissue infections, as well as urinary tract infections. This antibiotic is effective against various strains of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Its use must be prescribed by a physician, who will evaluate the need for its administration based on the infection presented by the patient.
Composition
Each 5 ml of suspension contains 375 mg of cefaclor. Excipients: xylitol, flavoring, xanthan gum, purified water.
Contraindications
This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cefaclor or any other antibiotic of the cephalosporin family. It should not be administered to people who have experienced severe allergic reactions after the administration of penicillins, due to the possibility of cross-reactions.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, especially colitis. In case of severe diarrhea, it is recommended to stop treatment and consult a doctor. It is important to perform clinical monitoring in patients with compromised renal function.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, out of reach of children. Do not expose to direct light. Once opened, use within one month and discard any unused product after this period.
