Indications
Fasiclor (Cefaclor) is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections in various locations. It is effective in the treatment of upper and lower respiratory tract infections, including sinusitis, otitis media, and pneumonia. It is also used in the management of urinary tract infections, as well as skin and soft tissue infections. Cefaclor acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, resulting in the death of susceptible bacteria.
Composition
Each 5 ml of suspension contains 250 mg of Cefaclor.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to cefaclor, other cephalosporin antibiotics, or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in individuals who have experienced severe allergic reactions to penicillins, due to the possibility of cross-reactions.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering this medication to patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, especially colitis. Clinical monitoring is recommended to detect possible adverse reactions. It is important to complete the prescribed treatment, even if symptoms improve, to prevent bacterial resistance. In case of allergic reactions or adverse effects, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
