Indications
Farmiver Junior is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by helminths and protozoa. This medication is used in the eradication of intestinal infections due to worms, such as Ascaris lumbricoides, Enterobius vermicularis, and Trichuris trichiura. Furthermore, it is effective in the treatment of Giardia lamblia infections, contributing to the reduction of associated symptoms such as diarrhea and abdominal discomfort. The combination of Quinfamide and Albendazole enhances the antiparasitic effect, providing a comprehensive therapeutic approach in the management of these infections in children.
Composition
Each 20 ml of suspension contains:
- Quinfamide: 200 mg
- Albendazole: 400 mg
Contraindications
Farmiver Junior is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the product's components, as well as in those with severe liver diseases. Its use is not recommended in children under two years of age without medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease. It is advisable to perform liver and kidney function studies before starting treatment. The risk-benefit should be evaluated in pregnant or breastfeeding women. This medication should not be used as a prophylactic for parasitic infections.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
