Indications

Etpoken is indicated for the treatment of certain malignant neoplasms, such as small cell lung cancer and testicular cancer. This medication works by inhibiting DNA synthesis, resulting in programmed cell death of cancer cells. It is used in combination chemotherapy regimens, being an integral part of the treatment of patients with a confirmed diagnosis of the aforementioned pathologies. Etoposide should be administered under the supervision of an oncology specialist, who will evaluate the response to treatment and adjust doses according to the patient's clinical progression.

Composition

Each 100 mg/5 ml vial of Etpoken contains Etoposide as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate its formulation and efficacy.

Contraindications

Etpoken is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Etoposide or any of the formula's components. It should not be administered to patients with severe liver failure or those with a history of severe allergic reactions to other chemotherapeutic agents.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when used in patients with a history of hematological diseases, as it may cause bone marrow suppression. Regular monitoring of liver and kidney function tests is essential during treatment. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid the use of this medication due to possible adverse effects on the fetus or infant.

Storage

Etpoken should be stored in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the product label.
