Indications
Etoricoxib is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation in various conditions. It is primarily used in the management of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and in the treatment of acute pain, such as postoperative pain or pain associated with musculoskeletal injuries. Its action is based on the selective inhibition of the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme, which helps reduce the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation.
Composition
Each tablet contains 90 mg of etoricoxib as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, magnesium stearate, and colloidal silicon dioxide.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to etoricoxib or any of the excipients in the formulation. Furthermore, it should not be administered to patients with a history of active peptic ulcer, severe heart failure, severe liver damage, or advanced kidney disease.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, arterial hypertension, kidney or liver failure. Additionally, the risk of thrombotic events should be evaluated in patients requiring long-term treatment. Concomitant use with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or anticoagulants is not recommended without proper medical supervision.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
