Indications
Etoricoxib is indicated for the treatment of acute pain, as well as in the management of inflammatory and painful conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It is also used for the treatment of pain associated with menstruation (dysmenorrhea) and postoperative pain. This drug acts by selectively inhibiting the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme, which decreases the production of prostaglandins, responsible for causing inflammation and pain.
Composition
Each tablet contains 120 mg of etoricoxib as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to etoricoxib or any component of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of a history of severe allergic reactions to other NSAIDs. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal insufficiency, severe hepatic insufficiency, and in those with active peptic ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases or cardiovascular risk factors, as well as in those with controlled hypertension. Its prolonged use may be associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular thrombotic events. It is recommended to evaluate renal function before starting treatment and during its use.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
