Indications

Estranim is indicated for the treatment of influenza in adults and children over 1 year of age. It is effective in reducing the duration of influenza symptoms, as well as in preventing the disease in individuals who have been exposed to the virus. Its use is most effective when initiated within the first 48 hours of symptom onset. Additionally, it can be used in influenza outbreak situations and in patients at high risk of complications, such as those with chronic diseases or immunosuppression.

Composition

Each Estranim capsule contains 75 mg of Oseltamivir, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Estranim is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Oseltamivir or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30 ml/min) without proper medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney disease, as dosage adjustment may be necessary. Likewise, its use in pregnant or breastfeeding women should be evaluated by a doctor, weighing the associated benefits and risks. It is important to monitor patients for the possible occurrence of adverse effects, such as allergic reactions or gastrointestinal effects.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the container tightly closed and protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
