Indications
Esomeprazole is indicated in the treatment of various conditions related to the excessive production of acid in the stomach and esophagus. It is used for the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), in order to relieve symptoms such as heartburn and chest burning. In addition, it is used in the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics. It is also prescribed for the prevention of ulcers in patients who use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) for extended periods.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Esomeprazole (as esomeprazole magnesium) 40 mg, excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, among others.
Contraindications
Esomeprazole is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to esomeprazole or any of the components of the formula. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other proton pump inhibitors.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with moderate to severe liver failure and in those with a history of autoimmune diseases. It is important to monitor patients who are on long-term treatment due to the potential risk of developing hypomagnesemia and osteoporosis. It should not be administered to patients under 12 years of age without medical supervision.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
