Indications
Equo is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men. Erectile dysfunction is a condition characterized by the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for sexual activity. Sildenafil, the active ingredient in Equo, works by increasing blood flow to the penis in response to sexual stimulation, which allows for an erection. This medication should not be used by men who do not have erectile dysfunction or who do not require treatment for this condition.
Composition
Each Equo capsule contains 50 mg of sildenafil as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Equo should not be used by patients with hypersensitivity to sildenafil or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients who are taking nitrates in any form, as this can lead to a significant drop in blood pressure. The use of this medication is not recommended in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases, severe hepatic insufficiency, or severe renal insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, such as unstable angina, recent heart attack, or arrhythmias. Additionally, it is recommended to evaluate patients with a history of priapism or penile deformity before starting treatment with Equo. It is important to consult a doctor about the use of other medications that may affect the efficacy of sildenafil or increase the risk of adverse effects.
