Indications

Encontropina is indicated for the treatment of acute moderate to severe pain. It is primarily used in postoperative situations and in the management of pain associated with musculoskeletal conditions. The combination of Ketorolac, a potent non-steroidal analgesic, and Hyoscine, an antispasmodic, enhances the analgesic effect and helps relieve discomfort from muscle spasms or abdominal cramps.

Composition

Each tablet of Encontropina contains:

• Ketorolac 10 mg
• Hyoscine 20 mg

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of allergic reactions to any of its components, in those with active peptic ulcers, severe renal failure, and in cases of gastrointestinal bleeding. Its use is not recommended in patients with bleeding disorders or those in the third trimester of pregnancy.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or gastrointestinal problems. It is important to monitor patients who are on concomitant treatment with anticoagulants or medications that affect renal function. Likewise, prolonged use should be avoided to minimize the risk of adverse effects.
