Indications
Efectoc is indicated for the prevention and treatment of vitamin E deficiencies, as well as in situations where an additional intake of this vitamin is required. Its use is suggested in patients with conditions affecting fat absorption, such as gastrointestinal disorders, liver or pancreatic diseases. In addition, it may be beneficial in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and in supporting reproductive health, as vitamin E acts as an antioxidant, protecting cells from oxidative damage. It has also been used to improve skin and hair quality, as well as to maintain immune function.
Composition
Each Efectoc capsule contains 400 mg of tocopherols (vitamin E) in the form of tocofersolan as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with hemorrhagic diseases or those undergoing anticoagulant treatment, due to the potential anticoagulant effect of high doses of vitamin E.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Efectoc in patients with bleeding disorders or those receiving treatments that may increase the risk of bleeding. In addition, it is important to consult a doctor before starting treatment in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
