Indications
Dupeo is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. It is used for respiratory tract infections, including acute sinusitis, exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, and community-acquired pneumonia. It is also indicated for the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections, as well as complicated intra-abdominal infections. Moxifloxacin works by inhibiting bacterial DNA synthesis, leading to the death of bacteria. It is effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including strains resistant to other antibiotics.
Composition
Each Dupeo tablet contains 400 mg of moxifloxacin as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, starch, and magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Dupeo is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to moxifloxacin, other fluoroquinolone antibiotics, or any component of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of tendinopathy associated with fluoroquinolone use.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of central nervous system disorders, as well as those with renal insufficiency. Moxifloxacin use may be associated with an increased risk of tendinitis and tendon rupture, especially in patients over 60 years of age or those receiving corticosteroid treatment. It is important to assess renal function before starting treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
