Indications

Duloxetine 60 mg is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder in adults. It is also used in the management of generalized anxiety disorder. Additionally, it is indicated for the treatment of diabetic neuropathic pain and for the management of chronic pain associated with osteoarthritis. This medication acts as a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, contributing to improved mood and reduced anxiety.

Composition

Each capsule contains 60 mg of Duloxetine as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, anhydrous colloidal silica, sodium lauryl sulfate, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Duloxetine or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to people with severe hepatic insufficiency or in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of mania or manic episodes, as well as in those with a history of seizure disorders. The possibility of discontinuation syndrome should be considered when interrupting treatment. It is important to assess the risk of suicidal thoughts, especially in the first months of treatment or when changing the dose. In addition, care should be taken in patients with heart disease or hypertension.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in its original packaging. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
