Indications

Draxavin is indicated in the treatment of essential arterial hypertension. Its action is based on vasodilation, which reduces peripheral vascular resistance and, therefore, lowers blood pressure. It can also be used in cases of congestive heart failure associated with hypertension. It is important to mention that administration must be carried out under medical supervision, with constant monitoring of blood pressure and cardiac function, to avoid possible adverse reactions and ensure effective treatment.

Composition

Each ampoule contains: 20 mg of Hydralazine as active ingredient. Excipients: water for injection, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to hydralazine or any of the excipients, as well as in those with autoimmune diseases such as lupus erythematosus, severe coronary heart disease, or in cases of severe renal insufficiency. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of heart or cerebrovascular disease. Blood pressure should be monitored before and during treatment, and the dose adjusted according to the patient's needs. In case of adverse reactions such as persistent headache, palpitations, or chest pain, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, protected from direct light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
