Indications
Doxon is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate pain, such as headaches, dental pain, menstrual pain, and musculoskeletal pain. It is also effective in treating fever. Its rapid action makes it a suitable option for symptomatic management in acute conditions. Dexketoprofen belongs to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and acts by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, mediators involved in inflammation and pain.
Composition
Each Doxon tablet contains 25 mg of dexketoprofen as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as lactose, starch, and magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Doxon is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to dexketoprofen or other NSAIDs. It should not be used in patients with a history of gastric ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding. It is contraindicated in patients with severe renal insufficiency and in those with coagulation disorders. Its use should also be avoided in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Doxon should be used with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, asthma, arterial hypertension, or renal insufficiency. Renal function should be assessed before starting treatment, especially in elderly patients. Prolonged use without medical supervision is not recommended.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
