Indications

Dolxen is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate pain, including headache, dental pain, menstrual pain, and muscle pain. Additionally, it is used in the management of inflammatory processes such as arthritis and osteoarthritis. This medication works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for inflammation and pain. Its use can be effective in the treatment of fever and other conditions associated with acute pain.

Composition

Each Dolxen tablet contains 500 mg of naproxen as the active ingredient. Excipients include: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to naproxen, a history of allergic reactions to other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), active gastric or duodenal ulcers, and in cases of severe renal insufficiency. Its use is not recommended during the third trimester of pregnancy and while breastfeeding without medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, hepatic or renal insufficiency, and those undergoing anticoagulant treatment. It is important to monitor renal and hepatic function during prolonged treatment. It is recommended to avoid alcohol consumption while using this medication, as it may increase the risk of gastrointestinal adverse effects.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
