Indications

Dolprofen 400 mg Coated Tablets are indicated for the treatment of various painful conditions and for fever reduction. It is used to relieve headaches, migraines, muscle aches, dental pain, and dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain). It is also indicated for inflammatory processes such as arthritis and for the symptomatic treatment of fever in adults and children.

Ibuprofen, its active ingredient, acts as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), providing relief by blocking the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for causing pain and inflammation. This medication is useful in managing symptoms arising from various conditions, thus providing a comprehensive approach to pain and inflammation control.

Composition

Each Dolprofen coated tablet contains: 400 mg of Ibuprofen. Excipients: starch, talc, colorants, among others.

Contraindications

The use of Dolprofen is not recommended in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or other NSAIDs, active gastric or duodenal ulcers, severe renal failure, and in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases. It is also contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal problems, asthma, moderate hepatic or renal insufficiency, and in those taking anticoagulants. It is advisable to evaluate renal function before initiating treatment, especially in elderly patients or those with comorbidities. Prolonged use and high doses may increase the risk of cardiovascular adverse events.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
