Indications
Dolprofen is indicated for the treatment of conditions requiring pain relief and reduction of inflammation. It is used in cases of:
- Mild to moderate pain, such as headache, muscle pain, dental pain, and dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain).
- Inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and other rheumatic diseases.
- Fever, in situations where a reduction in body temperature is required.
Ibuprofen works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, chemical substances in the body that are responsible for causing pain and inflammation.
Composition
Each tablet contains 600 mg of ibuprofen as the active ingredient. Excipients: starch, talc, and other inactive components that allow for the tablet formulation.
Contraindications
Dolprofen is not recommended for use in patients with known hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in cases of active peptic ulcer, severe kidney diseases, bleeding disorders, and during the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering ibuprofen to patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, heart failure, hypertension, or those taking anticoagulants. Medical monitoring is recommended for elderly patients and those with chronic diseases.
