Indications

Diurmessel is indicated for the treatment of edema associated with congestive heart failure, hepatic cirrhosis, and nephrotic syndrome. It is also used in arterial hypertension, as part of a therapeutic regimen that may include other antihypertensives, to achieve adequate blood pressure control. Its diuretic action allows the elimination of excess fluid and electrolytes, thus contributing to the reduction of blood pressure and improvement in renal function in patients with specific conditions.

Composition

Each Diurmessel tablet contains 40 mg of furosemide as an active ingredient. It also contains excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Diurmessel is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to furosemide or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in cases of anuria, dehydration, or in patients with severe hypokalemia without adequate treatment. It is also contraindicated in pregnant women, unless strictly necessary and under the supervision of a physician.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in its use in patients with electrolyte disorders, liver diseases, or kidney diseases. Regular monitoring of serum electrolytes and renal function is important during treatment. Its use in combination with other diuretics is not recommended without medical supervision, as this may increase the risk of dehydration and electrolyte disturbances.
