Indications
Dipera (Loperamide) is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute non-invasive diarrhea, as well as for the management of chronic diarrhea associated with conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome. Additionally, it can be used as an adjuvant in reducing the frequency and urgency of bowel movements in patients with colitis. This medication works by decreasing intestinal motility, allowing for greater absorption of fluids and electrolytes, which contributes to the formation of firmer stools and the normalization of intestinal rhythm.
Composition
Each Dipera tablet contains 2 mg of Loperamide as an active ingredient. Excipients: corn starch, lactose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Dipera is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Loperamide or to any of the product's excipients. It should not be used in cases of severe bacterial diarrhea, ulcerative colitis, pseudomembranous colitis, or in the presence of blood in the stools. Likewise, its use is not recommended in patients with severe constipation or in those with conditions that may cause intestinal obstruction.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with liver disease, as Loperamide is metabolized in the liver. Likewise, care should be taken in elderly patients or those with conditions that may predispose to dehydration. If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours, a doctor should be consulted.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
