Indications
Diogena is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension in adults. It is also used in patients with type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease, helping to reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications. Irbesartan works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a compound that causes blood vessel constriction, resulting in a decrease in blood pressure. This medication can be administered alone or in combination with other antihypertensives to achieve adequate blood pressure control.
Composition
Each Diogena tablet contains 150 mg of irbesartan as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the product.
Contraindications
Diogena is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to irbesartan or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in patients with a history of angioedema associated with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor treatment.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of kidney disease, liver disease, or dehydration. It is important to monitor blood pressure and kidney function during treatment with Diogena. Likewise, care should be taken in patients who are being treated with diuretics, as they may experience an excessive drop in blood pressure.

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
