Indications
Diclofenac Ophthalmic Solution is indicated for the treatment of inflammation and postoperative pain in eye surgical procedures. It is also used for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis and other inflammatory conditions of the eye, as well as for pain reduction in case of injuries. This medication acts as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which helps reduce ocular inflammation and pain, providing relief to patients.
Composition
Each 5 ml of ophthalmic solution contains:
- Diclofenac sodium: 1 mg
- Excipients: sodium chloride, purified water, hydrochloric acid, and other suitable excipients.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to diclofenac or any component of the formula. It should not be used in patients with a history of allergic reactions to other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Additionally, its use should be avoided in cases of active ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of asthma, liver or kidney disease, and in those who are undergoing anticoagulant treatment. It is important to avoid prolonged use without medical supervision. A doctor should be consulted in case of experiencing adverse symptoms or if symptoms do not improve after treatment.
Storage
The product should be stored at room temperature, protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
