Indications
Dexne Otic is indicated for the treatment of various inflammatory and allergic conditions of the outer ear, as well as for the management of pain associated with these conditions. This medication is useful in cases of otitis externa, dermatitis of the external auditory canal, and other conditions requiring the application of an anti-inflammatory, an antibiotic, and a local anesthetic. The combination of dexamethasone, neomycin, and lidocaine helps reduce inflammation, fight bacterial infections, and relieve pain, providing comprehensive treatment for the patient.
Composition
Each mL of Dexne Otic contains:
- Dexamethasone: 0.1 mg
- Neomycin: 3.5 mg
- Lidocaine: 3.0 mg
Contraindications
Dexne Otic is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with viral or fungal ear infections, and in cases of perforated eardrum. Its use is not recommended in children under 2 years of age without the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of allergies to antibiotics or local anesthetics, as well as in those with autoimmune diseases. Patient monitoring is recommended to evaluate treatment efficacy and the appearance of possible adverse effects.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
