Indications

Dexne Ophthalmic is indicated for the treatment of various inflammatory and allergic conditions of the eye, as well as for the management of ocular pain and discomfort. It is used in cases of allergic conjunctivitis, keratitis, and postoperatively in ocular surgeries. The combination of dexamethasone provides an anti-inflammatory effect, neomycin acts as an antibiotic to prevent infections, and lidocaine offers a local anesthetic effect, relieving ocular discomfort.

Composition

Each ml of Dexne Ophthalmic contains:

  • Dexamethasone: 0.1%
  • Neomycin: 0.5%
  • Lidocaine: 0.5%

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the formula. It should not be used in viral, fungal, or tuberculous eye infections, or in patients with uncontrolled glaucoma. Its use is not recommended in the presence of undiagnosed ocular corneal lesions.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of ocular herpes simplex, as well as in those with systemic diseases that may affect the immune response. Prolonged use should be avoided to prevent adverse effects. Close monitoring is important in patients with persistent symptoms or worsening of the ocular condition.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
