Indications
Dexlansoprazole is indicated for the treatment of conditions related to acid hypersecretion, including reflux esophagitis and symptoms associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It is also used in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics, as well as in the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers. Its action consists of inhibiting the proton pump in the parietal cells of the stomach, thereby reducing gastric acid production and providing relief from acid-related symptoms.
Composition
Each ultra capsule contains 60 mg of dexlansoprazole as active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate and other excipients according to specific formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to dexlansoprazole or any of the excipients in the formulation. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of severe liver problems.
Precautions
Monitoring is recommended for patients receiving dexlansoprazole treatment if they present symptoms of gastric ulcer, as it could mask more serious conditions. Prolonged use without medical supervision is not recommended, as it may increase the risk of gastrointestinal infections and nutrient deficiencies.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
