Indications

Desvenlafaxine is indicated for the treatment of major depressive episodes in adults. It is also used to treat generalized anxiety disorder. This medication works by increasing serotonin and norepinephrine levels in the brain, which helps improve mood and reduce anxiety. Its use should be supervised by a doctor, who will assess the patient's response to treatment and make adjustments if necessary.

Composition

Each tablet contains 50 mg of desvenlafaxine as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, and other excipients.

Contraindications

Desvenlafaxine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to desvenlafaxine or any of the product's excipients. It should not be administered in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in patients with a history of serotonin syndrome. Its use in patients with cardiovascular system disorders should be carefully evaluated.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of bipolar disorder, seizures, or liver and kidney problems. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment can cause withdrawal symptoms, so gradual cessation under medical supervision is recommended. Suicidal thoughts should also be monitored, especially at the beginning of treatment or when adjusting the dose.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
