Indications

Collifrin Infantil Nasal Solution 0.025% is indicated for the temporary relief of nasal congestion in children aged 2 years and older. It is useful in the treatment of conditions such as allergic rhinitis, common colds, and sinusitis, providing a decongestant effect that facilitates breathing through the nasal passages. Its use is recommended in cases where nasal congestion is a significant symptom and may interfere with the pediatric patient's quality of life.

Composition

Each 100 ml of Collifrin Infantil contains: Oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.025% (25 mg), excipients q.s. 100 ml.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to oxymetazoline or any of the excipients. Its use is not recommended in patients with cardiovascular diseases, uncontrolled hypertension, or in those receiving treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).

Precautions

It should be used with caution in patients with a history of hypertension, heart disease, or in those who show symptoms of hyperactivity. Prolonged use or use in doses higher than those indicated is not recommended, due to the risk of rebound effect and atrophy of the nasal mucosa. Simultaneous administration of other medications containing oxymetazoline or similar substances should be avoided.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, in a dry and cool place. Protect from direct light and keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
