Indications
Collidipin is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension and angina pectoris. This medication acts as a calcium channel blocker, which allows the relaxation and dilation of blood vessels, resulting in a reduction in blood pressure. Additionally, it can be used in the prevention of anginal episodes in patients with coronary artery disease, helping to improve the exercise capacity and quality of life of these patients. It is important that Collidipin be used under medical supervision, and that the specific instructions of the healthcare professional be followed to optimize its efficacy and safety.
Composition
Each tablet of Collidipin contains 5 mg of Amlodipine as the active ingredient. In addition, it contains excipients such as lactose, starch, and talc, which facilitate the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Collidipin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Amlodipine or any of the product's excipients. Likewise, it should not be administered to patients with cardiogenic shock, unstable angina, or severe heart failure. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those with congestive heart failure.
Precautions
Continuous medical monitoring is essential for patients starting treatment with Collidipin, especially those with pre-existing health conditions. Dosage adjustment is recommended for elderly patients or those with impaired renal function. Concomitant use with other antihypertensives should be evaluated to avoid episodes of severe hypotension.
