Indications
Clovex Cream is indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by herpes simplex virus type 1 and type 2. It is effective in reducing the symptoms of oral and genital herpes, as well as for the treatment of herpetic skin lesions. Its use is recommended in patients with initial or recurrent infections, as well as in those with a compromised immune system. The use of Clovex Cream should be started as soon as possible when the first symptoms of infection appear, such as itching, burning, or blisters. In addition, it can be used for the prevention of outbreaks in patients with a history of recurrent infections.
Composition
Each 1 g of Clovex Cream contains 50 mg of Acyclovir as an active ingredient, in addition to suitable excipients for the cream formulation.
Contraindications
Clovex Cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Acyclovir or to any component of the formula. Its use is not recommended for skin infections by viruses other than herpes simplex, as well as for open or infected lesions that do not correspond to the established indications.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Clovex Cream in patients with conditions that may compromise kidney function or who are undergoing immunosuppressive treatment. Close contact with eyes and mucous membranes is not recommended. In case of local irritation or adverse reaction, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and protect from direct light.
