Indications
Clindamycin 600 mg/4 ml is indicated for the treatment of severe bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. This medication is particularly useful in the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections, osteomyelitis, and some upper respiratory tract infections. It is also used in the treatment of intra-abdominal and gynecological infections. Clindamycin is effective against anaerobic organisms and certain strains of staphylococci and streptococci. Its use should be guided by the susceptibility of the involved pathogen and the severity of the infection.
Composition
Each ampule contains 600 mg of clindamycin (as hydrochloride) in 4 ml of injectable solution.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to clindamycin or any component of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of antibiotic-associated colitis or inflammatory bowel disease. It should not be administered to patients with lincomycin allergy.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, especially colitis. It is important to monitor for the occurrence of diarrhea during treatment, as it may be indicative of pseudomembranous colitis. If persistent diarrhea occurs, discontinuation of treatment and medical evaluation should be considered. It should be used with caution in patients with compromised liver function.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
