Indications
Clindamycin is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to clindamycin. It is commonly used in skin and soft tissue infections, dental infections, respiratory tract infections, and osteomyelitis. Additionally, it can be used in the treatment of anaerobic infections and in patients allergic to penicillin. This antibiotic is effective against certain types of gram-positive bacteria and some anaerobes, making it an important option in the management of infections where other antibiotics are not suitable.
Composition
Each ampoule contains 600 mg of clindamycin in injectable solution, plus excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to clindamycin or lincomycin. It should not be administered to individuals with a history of antibiotic-associated colitis or severe diarrhea. Its use should also be avoided in patients with severe liver problems.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with gastrointestinal diseases, especially those with a history of colitis. In addition, liver and kidney function should be monitored during treatment. It is important to monitor for possible adverse reactions and discontinue treatment if symptoms of pseudomembranous colitis occur. Clindamycin can cause allergic reactions in some individuals, so signs of anaphylaxis should be watched for.

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
