Indications
Clamoxin is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to the combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. These infections may include, but are not limited to, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, otitis media, sinusitis, urinary tract infections, and some skin and soft tissue infections. The combination of amoxicillin, a penicillin-class antibiotic, and clavulanic acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, provides a broad spectrum of activity against various Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It is important that the use of Clamoxin be based on the susceptibility of the microorganism causing the infection.
Composition
Each 5 ml of suspension contains 200 mg of amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) and 28.5 mg of clavulanic acid (as potassium clavulanate).
Contraindications
Clamoxin is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillins, beta-lactams, or any of the product's excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients who have experienced jaundice or hepatic dysfunction associated with the administration of amoxicillin/clavulanic acid.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, or those receiving treatment with other medications that may affect liver function. Renal function monitoring is recommended in patients receiving high doses or during prolonged treatments.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
