Indications
Clamoxin is an antibiotic indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to the combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. These infections may include, but are not limited to:
- Respiratory tract infections, such as sinusitis and acute bronchitis.
- Middle ear infections (otitis media).
- Urinary tract infections.
- Skin and soft tissue infections.
- Dental infections.
This medication is especially useful in infections where beta-lactamase-producing bacteria are a factor in treatment resistance. The combination of amoxicillin with clavulanic acid allows for greater efficacy against a variety of pathogenic organisms.
Composition
Each Clamoxin 12H tablet contains:
- Amoxicillin (as trihydrate): 875 mg
- Clavulanic acid (as potassium clavulanate): 125 mg
Contraindications
Clamoxin is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid, or any other component of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in those with a history of jaundice or hepatic dysfunction related to the use of amoxicillin/clavulanic acid.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with liver disease, kidney disease, or in those with a history of allergies, especially to antibiotics. It is important to monitor for severe adverse reactions.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
