Indications

Ciprofloxacin is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by ciprofloxacin-sensitive microorganisms. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Lower respiratory tract infections, such as pneumonia and acute bronchitis.
  • Urinary tract infections, including cystitis and pyelonephritis.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Bone and joint infections.
  • Gastrointestinal infections.

Ciprofloxacin is effective against a wide range of Gram-negative bacteria and some Gram-positive bacteria, and is used in the treatment of complicated and uncomplicated infections.

Composition

Each tablet contains:

  • Ciprofloxacin: 500 mg
  • Excipients q.s.

Contraindications

The use of Ciprofloxacin is contraindicated in the following cases:

  • Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or other fluoroquinolones.
  • Patients with a history of tendinitis or tendon rupture associated with fluoroquinolone use.
  • Pregnancy and lactation.
  • Patients with neurological diseases, such as epilepsy.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with renal insufficiency, as well as in those who are being treated with other medications that may affect renal function. Likewise, the use of Ciprofloxacin in children and adolescents should be avoided, unless strictly necessary. It is important to monitor for any adverse symptoms during treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
