Indications

Ciprofloxacin is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. It is effective in various conditions, including:

  • Urinary tract infections.
  • Respiratory infections.
  • Gastrointestinal infections.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Bone and joint infections.

Ciprofloxacin works by inhibiting DNA synthesis in bacteria, resulting in cell death. It is important to perform a culture and sensitivity test to ensure treatment efficacy.

Composition

Each 250 mg Ciprofloxacin tablet contains:

  • Ciprofloxacin: 250 mg
  • Excipients: Lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or other antibiotics of the fluoroquinolone family. Its use is not recommended in children under 18 years of age or in pregnant or breastfeeding women without adequate medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizure disorders, kidney or liver disease, and in those with risk factors for tendinopathy. It is essential to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight during treatment, as it may increase the risk of adverse skin reactions.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
